Settlement and Consumer Compensation
Under a settlement agreement, the defendants are now prohibited from making unsubstantiated or misleading earnings claims and are barred from misrepresenting any goods or services they sell. Additionally, they were ordered to pay funds to compensate consumers affected by their fraudulent practices.
The FTC is distributing refunds via PayPal to 8,174 individuals who were impacted by the scheme. Recipients are advised to redeem their payments within 30 days.
